Gail - In Memoriam

Dear All....

I am starting this post for all to leave their messages for our dear Gail who has sadly passed away. My thanks to brother Hat for passing this news to us all.

Gail was second only to Hat to greet me here on the forum such a long time ago now. Shortly after, I was made known of her condition and that she was not expected to be with us within 3 months thereafter. But God clearly had a plan as Gail braved a further two whole years along with us mortals.

I cannot find the words that could possibly describe just how amazing her love, kindness and gentleness came through in everything she wrote. She deeply cared about every single one of us here, and anyone who came to the forum for support. She would always find the time and energy to share that support, despite her condition. 

As some of you will know, along with LDN and myself, she was known as one of the "three musketeers"! We would share stories of happiness, woes, tales of the Summerland and so much more. Never was there a time when my heart was not filled with joy when I received a notification in my email that Gail had left a message here.

She would regularly pray for us all, as we in turn did for her - more so during these final few weeks. Gail endured a great deal of pain as a result of her condition and had so many treatments that she would accommodate despite her condition. Never would she complain or speak ill of what she went through. There is no doubt in my mind that if angels indeed inhabit the earth, our dear Gail was surely one of them.

My thoughts are with her family and friends, and the community where she no doubt bought joy through her words and actions... apple pie.. brownies... and much more.

Gail, you have traded time for eternity. You have made it back Home where you so longed to be. It is wonderful to know that you are now at rest and the pain and suffering no longer ails you.

She will sorely be missed but so relieved she is not suffering anymore. She was so kind and considerate. She had directed her family to contact us on her passing and to let us know how much she loved all of us. Know in your heart she cared for all of you, new and old members alike.

God has a special place for her in Heaven.

It speaks volumes when someone who suffers like she did can still be strong enough to lend a helpful hand and ear to those who are also suffering.

Dear Gail I love you with all my heart and soul!! 

I am sending all my love to your family right now!! 

You were a truly beautiful soul! As IUN says an angel! I saw God in you like never before! 

You were kind, caring, compassionate, funny, playful, truly courageous, such a deep thinker, and above all a lover! You had so so much love in you!! 

Your light lit up the world for so many!! 

Now in heaven you will be able to see this light that the rest of us have been blessed to witness and feel it's warmth!

You changed my life, Gail, as you know!! 

You will be in my heart for eternity!!! 

My dear friend, my special one, my Princess, my soul mate, MY HERO!!! 

I hope you are having fun in heaven right now!! With your family! With Katou!!!! And maybe even Chin Chin!! 

My fellow daughter of God, I adore you forever!!! 

Enjoy those beautiful waters!!!

Beautiful words as always brother... your Princess will be looking down on us with love for the rest of our days for sure.

I am sure she will have found those waters and will be sitting on the banks near the wooden chapel she saw... with her wine... surrounded by Katou and Chin Chin.

Gail, you were one of the first people to welcome me to CW and made me feel very welcome. I enjoyed reading your posts every day. May you rest in peace. <3

I have loads of her posts saved in a folder in my inbox. They will always have a special place and I will enjoy reading them for years to come. We could make a book out of her stories!!

We just need a good title...

Forgot to mention....

Gailage always said to me that she would let me know she got to Heaven safely as soon as she could, and two days after the news got as far as ourselves, I went to see my parents. As I opened the door, there on the floor, used as a paperweight, was this smoothed marble-like stone with red-hues... very similar to the one that "appeared" in Gailage's condo a few years ago. For those that don't know the story, please ask!

I asked my parents where it was from and they said they had "bought it down from upstairs"

Gail.. if that was you, I just want to thank you for letting me know. Been thinking a lot about you today.

A year on... I just wanted to write a short piece.

Being firm in my faith, I am not one to mourn and remember when "someone was around". Gail is still with us, right now, on this forum - and will be aiding our members from her lofty position in the Summerland. It is wonderful to think what she will have accomplished a year later - although time itself being an abstract concept to dwellers of the other side. As most reading this will know, Gail suffered at the hands of many physical ailments, as well as her mental health. To know she is free of all of this is so comforting. I anticipate that it would have taken some time to have come to terms with! 

I understand that not everyone reading will share my spiritual roots, but I often have reminders from Gail that she is still with us, and she told me that she would send me reminders before she passed away. Some time ago, I was having a particularly difficult day and whilst driving, I asked Gail to help me, and just to make me aware of her presence here. At that very second, a squirrel ran out in front of my car causing me to lock my brakes. This lovely creature stopped for a good 10 seconds staring right at me through the windshield before moving on. Coincidence perhaps...

Later that day, I went to visit a new client for work. They offered me a cup of tea. I duly accepted. They presented my beverage in a mug which had a big fluffy red squirrel on it! Nearly bought tears to my eyes.

But how is this pertinent? What does a squirrel have to do with anything?

Tough times for me at the moment Gail. I know you are there taking care of of Hat, LDN, myself and many others. You are blessed with the eternal light of God and free of your suffering. I think about you every day and know that you are guiding us all as best you can within out own personal paths as chosen when we entered this life.

You taught us all how strong we can be in human form with everything that you went through and you still leave us with such courage with your example.

As difficult some days are here, such I have endured today, and would give anything to join you, I know we still have work to be completed here, just as you did in the last few years that I knew you, my dear sweet angel.

I have just had word from Gail's beautiful Annie - such a kind-hearted soul as one would imagine from a Mom such as Gail. 

A couple of days ago, Annie finally laid our beloved Gail to rest in the clear blue waters which she loved so much...

Our thoughts are forever with you Gail... and Annie <3

May God bless you and keep you safe Annie. Gail is indeed home.

Just a quick message to you my beautiful Gailage. 

Another year goes by and I can scarce believe it. I know you are in your eternal home and are watching on us all down here - Hat, LDN, Kathy, myself and so many more. Your messages will always be here helping more people than I am sure you can imagine. Everything you shared with people here continues to support - it is truly amazing. 

I know that I will be with you again when I too trade time for eternity, and whilst there are some days that I would give anything to already be there, I remember just how much bravery you showed to us all. You had the opportunity to pass over from this life, but you chose to stay here and it is that which done far more than I could ever put into words.

To anyone that is reading this, I would urge you to read just how much Gail went through on a daily basis - suffered, yet stayed with us here to show just how resilient we can be through the grace of God and how we, too, can follow in her amazing example.
