I understand the desire to not put another toxin in your body. Dear Bethany, give yourself a break, from what I could find from your past posts, it looks like you went down from 60mg to nothing. This is very unhealthy for you. Especially if you do not have a doctor on your side right now.

Please, immediately, get with your doctor, or another doctor to help level you off. I went 45 days of suffering and what you are going through, please don't do this to yourself.

Some people have weaned with prozac, my new psychiatrist gave me a low dose of Celexa and did not recommend my taking Cymbalta again.

You will get through this, but you are not an island, do not suffer without some help. Dropping from 60mg to nothing is too harsh to your system. You will have some relief when you see a medical pro that will guide you through this. I know that it is probably the hardest thing for you to do right now is to try to make an appointment, but I implore with you, do not try to tough this out on your own. Especially with your other medications.

Be safe and well and I hope to hear that you have found somebody to help you get through this - this is serious and you do not need to feel this way. Will be sending my best wishes to you that you have relief soon.

Thank you for not taking it as being preachy, but it is something that I found daunting to do alone.

Now I am just kicking myself for letting it go on for so long "waiting" to get better.

And please, let us all know how you are doing. It is unfortunate that so many of us are suffering.

The number of people who join this forum keeps going up very much daily. We are not alone.

Bethany - do not take this lying down. My old psychiatrist told me that I was an "isolated case" and the only one.

We both know this is not true. I don't know if your prescribing doctor is a psychiatrist, but now is the time to get out the phone book and start calling. I had to call about 15 different offices to find a doctor that accepts new patients. All of the offices I called did agree that I was dropped down too quickly.

Do not give up, there is somebody out there to help you get back to yourself and your family. Please, call another doctor and explain your situation. If you are not feeling better, there is always the emergency room. If you feel likeyou are losing your mind and like you are having tremors, you might be having a seizure.

You deserve to be heard and treated for this.

Bethany, do you have a family member that could make the calls for you? Is your husband being supportive? If it feels too overwhelming, then ask someone for help. What city do you live in? I'd even be happy to make some calls for you. Sarah and I have posted back and forth about this, and as I told her, asking for help doesn't make us weak, it makes us smart. YOU are not weak, your poor brain is being tormented by a drug. Even if you have to go to the ER and talk to someone, just keep talking until someone hears and helps you. Like Sarah also mentioned, you can experience siezures from dropping too quickly.

Post back to let us know how you are doing.

Bethany, I suffer from chronic pain in my back and just started lyrica 3 months ago (low dose). I too was on a lot of meds over the past 2 1/2 years. You are making great progress by cutting down meds, but take it easy. Not too much too fast. I feel for you - it's not enough being in pain, then you have all of these other side effects. I was taking vicodin, cymbalta, advil and flexeril as needed, lunesta, flonase and allegra (for allergies). I get accupuncture done by an M.D. every two weeks for pain, so now I'm trying just to take the lyrica and lunesta. The cymbalta withdrawal has been making me dizzy this week (so I'm not taking allegra). I'm sleeping o.k. because I have the lunesta (which is part of my pain mgmt), but I can tell I'm still restless at night. My husband is not very supportive of my condition, and although he loves me, he is not a real sensitive guy. It's been hard, but I have to deal with it. I have 3 kids, and don't work (don't know if I could with the pain issues). How is your fibro? Doctors must not take these drugs - they seem uneducated.

I had back pain previously but it seemed to be much better while on cymbalta.. Instantly after quiting the pain was back.. and the tremors. When i get just a little chill my organs seem to shake.. My insides just start to quiver.. and it seems to last for an hour or more.. its like my insides wiggle and even my arms and legs start to move.. because i can't control the wiggling under my skin.. Its so strange.. I"m not sure if its the cold triggering it or something else.. but it is very odd and makes me very angry when i have no control over my body..
