I have been suffering from chronic fatigue and body aches for about 2 years now. Has anyone had those kind of side effects while on Cymbalta?

thardin,
Welcome, and YES!!!! I was on 60 mg for 3 years, and have been weaning slowly
since Aug 30,09, and still have the chronic fatigue. I just can't get anything done
most of the time.

On it I was a total nothing, just an it. They call it "The Slug" drug, as it turns you
into a zombie, no feelings, movtivation, your just alive.

This has been such a nightmare for me. It

is not a drug that ever should have been
put on the market, it has destroyed so many peoples lives.

There is a great way to get off of it, and that's what I have been doing here for over
2 1/2 months. Most do not have that much trouble, but I just happen to be on that
didn't get that lucky, it's just life, but I still keep going, and doing the best I can.

Read lots of post, and here the site with the withdrawl symptoms http://prozactruth.com/cymbalta.htm

You have no idea how awesome it is to find this website and hear from you. I have felt so isolated. I was dx with a pituitary tumor in Jan 09 and thought that it was the cause of my fatigue/aches, etc. But all that is under control now and I have been so frustrated to still feel so bad. The doctor's haven't even mentioned that it could be Cymbalta - it was my detective work that made me think it might be the culprit.

What is the way you mentioned to go off? I am ready to use Prozac and/or St. John's wort to supplement as I taper off to help me not go nuts.'

Thanks again.

thardin,
So glad you were able to find out it was theCymbalta. My doc's never thought to think about
the Cymbalta either. It's not their fauls, they just have never been given the truth about this
stuff.

What dose are you are?

Here is an example of a 60 mg slow wean

60 mg = 540 beads minus 10 % for 2 weeks
You can just open the cap, and use a little dish underneath so if any spill you can put them
all back into the cap.

Some buy empty gel caps online or on e-bay, but I just used my 60 mg caps, until I got to
30 mg, and then finally got to 20 mg, and it's been just fine. Always save what you remove
and just put into a baggie, just in case something happens, and you might need them!

So just go to 50 mg for 2 weeks, and if this is too hard on you, add some of the beads until
the withdrawl symptoms are gone, or you can function.

Let me know if this makes any sense, and also get the Prozac 20 asap, it really helps to start
it right away for many!

Debbie
