When I was prescribed Cymbalta, there were really no commercials for it. 3.5 years ago, everything I found about it said it was "safe and effective".
Now, the tagline for the original Cymbalta commercial was:
Depression Hurts, But You Don't Have To
A couple of years ago, the tagline was changed, probably for legal reasons to the one we want to scream at now:
Depression Hurts, Cymbalta Can Help
Note the word CAN in the new slogan. No promises. It is synonymous in a way with doctors. Doctors practice medicine. And practice does not always make perfect.
If you are new in trying to come off of Cymbalta, write down and share some of the tiration stories. Doctors are going from the information that Eli Lilly has spoon fed them about stopping this drug.
The Original Cymbalta Commercial - Remember it?

Yea, I remember when they had that tag line in their commercials. It's also very funny that they changed it after they screwed up so big by hurting so many people with the withdraw problem.
Probably should of thought of there tagline like that before they made their first tag line... huh?
