I've been off 90 mg Cymbalta for about a week when I couldn't afford my Rx. I find myself crying at Hallmark commercials, movies, books, the news. I already suffered from bad insomnia, so I can't tell much difference. Xanax helps me relax and sleep a little. I had previously tapered to 60 then 30 mg. and so no ill effects so I believed I could go cold turkey off 90 mg whenever I ran out. I'll let you know hot it continues. What is this brain feeling people are referring to?

Karen,
if your only having that as your symptoms for going cold turkey off 90 mg
maybe you are going to be one of the very, very rare cases that don't go
through hell getting off this drug.

Crying for no reason is one of the symptoms of withdrawl, as is the sleeping
too, but again, nothing like what most of us go through. I didn't have any
major withdrawls until the 6 th day, but was having a very difficult time
prior to that. I just couldn't take it anymore on the 6 th day, and called my
doctor, who told me it was not due to the drug, but to go back on the full
dose, and even after a few hours I was getting relief.

I did have a terrible time on this drug, and was so out of it, and couldn't
do anything, but it was when I saw what happened after taking the full dose
after he decreased it that I knew it was the Cymbalta that had caused me to
change into someone I didn't even know.

I do want you to know you can get samples from your doctor's office, the rep's
will love to help keep you supplied, and also you can contact the company
Eli Lily directly, and they will give them to you for free. My friend just got
his first batch sent to his home. It takes 4 weeks, but like I said the Pharm
Rep's love to keep people supplied with this drug.

Kepp us posted on how your doing, and keep sharing how your feeling.

Debbie
