HI I was happy to sign but it did cost $2 so it may be putting some people off. Everyone should be making an offical report of the withdrawal problems NOt only to LILLY but also to the FDA. This is the only way that it will be documented and they do not like to be bombarded with anything. This makes them look at it and cannot ignore that we are having problems. Calling or petitions are great but they do not make a record to be help accountable to. Also you may be interested in YOUTUBE and Cymbalta Withdrawal several Lilly Drug Reps have a lot to say.

Letting doctors know about the exact symptoms may lead to several steps toward a solution. With enough input an article in a peer review journal may be written which will alert more doctors. Also, a doctor prescribing may question the drug company.

Any information when or where this petition will be used? I would be very interested to know that it is going into effect at some point of time and that it will help others and figure out a way to stop all of this crap from going on. I hope the petition gets somewhere...

I filed a report with the FDA. Maybe if they get inundated with complaints it will make a difference.

Given that some people here have found easier methods for withdrawal than others, I would be happy if Lilly came up with a safe taper plan. I'd be happier if there were stricter prescribing guidelines. This should be treated with the same caution as oxycontin and other narotics. No, you don't get a buzz from the drug, but I think that the withdrawal effects on the brain are far worse.

I completely agree with you also they could make a plan with the Dr. after the medication is done and over with that will help the withdrawl period be a little easier with the help of a medical advisor or something.

I *truly* appreciated your online petition ... but was afraid to sign it ... not knowing where my name might end up or how it might be used.

However, I DID file a complaint against Cymbalta (withdrawal) with the FDA and urge others to do likewise.
