Am trying to get off Cymbalta 30mg and wondering about brain zaps.

Posted 28 February 2010 - 10:48 PM

I had been on Cymbalta for about 6 months when I decided I wanted to stop taking it. It took about6 weeks to work, and when it did it was great. I started to notice that I was really detached, tired, and had a shorter temper. I wanted to get off of it. I was taking 90mg. I quit cold turkey and thought I was going to die. So I started taking it again and was weaning down every two weeks. I am now down to half of a thirty. I did fine weaning down until I got to this point. Now every day I am tired, have nasua, migraines, I'm emotional, shaky, anxious, and just absolutely miserable. I feel like I am going to die. I want to workout and try to improve the healthy way, but I physically cannot do it because I am in so much pain. Will this ever stop? Am I going to get better? How long does this take? I never want to take another drug again!

Lots of people find they can do the initial drops without too much trouble but unexpectedly strike hurdles when it gets to the lower amounts. How much was your latest drop?

regards, Maureen.
