Regardless of your original dose, I would do a slow taper, not on-off-on-off. How many capsules do you have left? You might also consider contacting the company and asking them for a free supply so you can taper off properly. They have a program for this. Also, I hear from others on this board that Prozac, even a single dose, can be very helpful in getting off this drug. Can you consult your doctor for some free samples?

HI Haley
I agree with Queen, a slow taper is far better than the weaning method you are using. The reason for this is that Cymbalta chemically alters the way the brain functions. By giving it C for a day or two, then removing it, then reintroducing it, you are just confusing it. It doesn't know whether it is arthur or martha!
What works best is to slowly reduce the amount, wait until any wld effects subside, then reduce again. This gives the brain time to readjust and you quality of life while doing this withdrawal
Kind Regards
