I quit Cymbalta cold turkey on April 15th. I was on 60mg along with Wellbutrin xl 300 and xanax as needed. I plan to continue the wellbutrin and xanax. I quit b/c of weight gain. I excerise on a regular basis and could not drop the extra 15 pounds I am now carrying since starting this med. I was given the Cymbalta to replace Lexapro due to arthritic pain but the 15 pounds were not worth it for me. My pain is now at a managable level thanks to Radiofrequency proceadures (destruction of the nerves that deliver pain signals to the brain) and honestly, I think I rather have neck and back pain than be fat. The first week off I felt manic and had nausea and the runs. I no longer feel manic but cannot get through my day with out feeling sick. I am constantly taking dramamine and alkaseltzer to function. I know I should talk to my doctor but I dont want to waste my time and co pay if this is still just Cymbalta withdrawal. Did/does anyone else experince this? Please help.
