Okay, I am having one of my "frustrating days"
Today is day (approx.) "15".
today makes it 4 days of "no throwing up!!!" :o
However still lots of brain zaps!!!!
Since I haven't been throwing up my food, I've been eating like a hog!!
I've gained 5 lbs. in 4 days!! I'm so pissed!!
I'm also "always" thirsty!! (I don't eat much salt, at all)
Anyway, I had to vent because I'm soooo scared of getting fat!!!
Anyone else eating alot?? I hope your not, but I feel like the only one that's getting this side effect.
Sincerely, your withdrawl sister,
Lucy

Well, I had some of those fundraiser choc chip cookies in my freezer, and baked 2 dozen of them last night, and have had about 9 so far, sooo, guess I'm with you on this! I figure I'll deal with one thing at a time; get through withdrawal, and then by late Spring, early Summer, I can get out and walk some of this off. I'd rather gain some weight than have Cymbalta in my system.! Hange in there Lucy, it WILL get better!!

I had a few days of wanting to eat everything, so you are not the only one, I remember it was only for a few days.

After being very sick like you were, your body is looking for and craving some nutrition!

Make sure you are eating good protein, fruits and vegetables. I find it helpful in the morning to eat three eggs, I eat one with the yolk and the other two just the whites. It really helps me get through the morning without the munchies. Also, raw almonds (without salt) are good filling food.

Please check with your doctor about always being thirsty, that is a side effect s/he needs to be aware of.

Be proud of yourself for your progress and eat healthy!!! You are worth it.

Take Care

Something else that comes to mind, is have you had your blood sugar checked? Early signs of diabetes can present with thirst, so it is something to look at.

Having a chronic pain condition, I tend to assume every odd thing I feel is somehow related to it, or now to withdrawal, when it could very well be something totally unrelated. We need to pay attention to our whole selves to be sure we aren't ignoring anything.

You might try eating oatmeal in the morning. Oatmeal has protein and it is a low glycemic food. There is some truth about oatmeal sticking to your ribs. Good luck!

I notice I feel better when I have solid food on my stomach too. For some reason, and maybe it is just a coincidence, the zaps aren't as bad when I'm not feeling hungry. Drinking lots of water helps too.
