Need Advice

I am new to this forum and to the withdrawal effects of Cymbalta. My psychiatrist moved me from 60 mg to 30 mg for two days, then to Prozac 20 mg for four days. This is my first day without taking any anti-anxiety medication, and thus far I have experienced a decreased appetite, increased fatigue, and the "brain zaps." I am looking for advice on how to combat these effects as I am applying for teaching jobs and I need to be functional, particularly on interviews. Not to mention, lying on my couch all day isn't all it's cracked up to be :/ I appreciate everyone's advice!

Tht's way too fast to come off Cymbalta, is all I can say.
Have a read of lots of posts and you'll see how long it normall takes.

Dear Friend:
I agree with Maureen. Sounds like an extremely fast withdrawal.
It took me a month (4 weeks) to go from 60mg to 30mg by doing 7,5mg drops each week.
And it is going to take me 3 more months to go off cymbalta completely. You have to think and decide, what is more important to you. If you want to succeed at interviews, then it will be smart to wean slowly.

I think there are probably many of us who would be very interested
in how you do with your new schedule. I would be ever so grateful
if you could continue to report in and let us know how you are doing.
I wish you the very best of luck and hope it goes very smoothly for you!
