    Cymbalta withdrawal

I starting taking 20mg back in November. I decided to go off Cymbalta in May and began the tapering process with my doctor. I took one pill every other day for three weeks, then one pill every third day for an additional three weeks. My doctor said I could stop taking the Cymbalta after this six week taper so my last pill was seven days ago. I felt fine until my third day off and then everything went downhill: extreme dizziness, severe headaches, erratic emotions, nauseau...the same things you all experience. My question is when will this nightmare end? I've been sitting here reading posts and crying. Is there anything I can take to help? I've starting taking omega 3, SAM-e and vitamin B in hopes that they will help, but I'm feeling more discouraged than ever.

Hang in there Amy, it will eventually get better - just how long that takes is different for everyone. I promise you it will get better though. My husband is the one who is suffering through Cymbalta withdrawal and he also just started taking Sam-e Complete 400 mg once a day and I think after being on it a week I see him happier than he's been in awhile. I hope it is just as helpful for you too. Good luck with everything and remember to post often if it makes you feel better.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Patti. It really means a lot to me that you took the time to both read and respond to my post. I know there is no easy answer as to how soon this will be over, I think I'm just looking for a light at what seems like a very long and dark tunnel. I see that your husband has been experiencing withdrawal symptoms for two months? Have his symptoms stayed the same throughout, or are they gradually getting better?
