Today is day 1 going from 120mg to 60mg. ive been on cymbalta for several years now for migraines. ( my guess is about 3 year)
wondering if it will cause depression even though im not on it for depression. anyone on it for migraines??

Dear Laura:
From all the posts I have read on this site, I´ve seen that during withdrawal people get moody and depressed, although they took cymbalta for other issues different to depression (Fibromyalgia).
But it is just a withdrawal symptom that will go away, the medication shouldn´t cause depression.
The fact that there is people on this site who have experienced depression symptoms during withdrawal, doesn´t mean that you will. We are all different

    Tapering off Cymbalta

I took Cymbalta for depression, but noticed that my frequent migraines stopped while taking it. I have been weaning down and have been off completely for about 1 week and my headaches have already made a comeback. I'm not sure if it's the migraines returning or just a withdrawal effect. I have not had any depression during the withdrawal process or in the past week since being completely off.

My doctor put me on Cymbalta for body pain and anxiety. I've only been on it since May.

I wasn't taking Cymbalta for migraines but I did notice I did not get them while on it. Now, I'm weaning off and hoping like crazy I don't have rebound migraines.
