I'm not switching to another med from Cymbalta, but have had similar side effects from it- I think I have forgotten to write about the sweating TOO! I HATE the sweating the worse! Not only did I never used to sweat while I slept, but now not only do I do that, and wake up drenched- but my skin is also slightly breaking out from it. I used to have great skin. Flippen Cymbalta.
I can say though that it sounds like your doc is having you quit/wean Cymbalta pretty quickly. From almost everyone I've met on this page they say not to decrease more than 10% at a time! This can sometimes be only 3mgs per week! I've been doing a steady 10mgs at a time, and am doing to 30mgs right now.
I say go nuts on the vitamins, but stay away from the vitamin water or gatorade type drinks. The artificial sweetners and corn syrup are also bad for you. I would try juice and milk and organic lemonade!
If you find a good tip for the 'wake-up call' - let me know! I only have caffeine about once a week, but would have it every morning if it wasn't also a type of 'drug', didn't dry me out, and also keeps me jacked up all night! So far, I've read that apples actually have more 'umpf' in them then a cup of coffee. I'm working on it but don't really see a difference yet.
