Currently withdrawing from 30mg Cymbaltia and suffering side effects.

Hi All,

I recently read some info about the benefits of 5-HTP. Thought it might be worth a shot as the withdrawal symptoms were getting very severe (brain zap hell).

I'm on day 10 of my 'cold turkey'. Although it's been really tough and exhausting so far, 100mg of 5-HTP in the morning and 50mg before bed has massively improved my sleep pattern. Within 30 mins of taking it, the brain zaps are greatly reduced and I feel much more relaxed.

Has anyone else tried this? I've read so many good things about it that I thought I'd share. Here's a link to a brief You Tube video.

Hope this helps some of you! All the best and good luck getting off this evil drug.

Dave

Dave- Did the 5 htp continue to work for you?  I'm thinking about doing this.

If you are still on cymbalta or have only just stopped taking it then DO NOT TAKE 5 HTP.

It can cause a serious serotonin reaction that can be fatal.
