In the future I would like to stop cymbalta

Posted 24 August 2010 - 01:17 PM

Dear Amy:
It doesn´t matter if you are on the right threat.....

I am not that young, and I was also very naive to doctors.
Cymbalta is used in cases of depression and fibromyalgia. It works on two neurotrasmitters: serotonin and norepinephrine. Mood and body pain are managed by these neurotrasmitters.
Probably your doctor thought your sense of pain came from your brain and he prescribed cymbalta. When there was a real cause which was a "pinched nerve that was hiding". I have also had to take other medicines for the side effects of cymbalta. It is unbelievable....

I took cymbalta for severe depression, and now that I am weaning I am experiencing additional physical and psychological symptoms which I never had before.

It worries me that somebody mentally healthy like you, can develop severe depression by taking this med. I wonder what it has done to me, if I had previous depressive tendencies.

Keep me updated on how you feel
hugs
