    i am struggling with Cymbalta

I was on 30 mgs for about 4 years. When my doc wanted me to go to 60mgs cause it wasn't working, that was enough. I went down to 20 mgs. for three months pretty well and thought I would go to 15mgs. easily. That was 5 days ago. From the beginning, it has been pretty hard. I feel terrible. I can't go to the gym, crave orange juice, just lay in bed and watch movies. It's oK to baby myself, but I'm wondering how long this will last. Five mgs. is such a small amount to decrease. I counted each capsule, so I know the amounts are right. Anyone had similar experience? I must have just hit the sweet spot of my tolerance. This site has been so helpful.

Dear Palm Spring:
When one reaches lower doses, the body is more sensible to drops.
I took 60mg for 5 years, started weaning slowly, the first drops were "easy". Things got harder when I reduced from 22mg to 20mg. So I only reduced from 20mg to 19mg and stayed there for 5 weeks.

One could think that dropping 5mg is a small drop, but it isn´t for some people.
I´ve read on this site, that one shouldn´t drop more than 10% of actual dose each time.
So in theory, the ideal thing for you would have been to drop only 2mg (from 20mg to 18mg) instead of dropping straight to 15mg.

You can always updose, until you stabilize and start weaning from there,
hugs
