    difficulty getting off Cymbalta

Posted 30 August 2010 - 06:17 PM

Hi, I have been on Cymbalta for six or seven years( HOw long has this drug been out now ), pretty much since this drug first came out. For the last three years or so I have had severe nausea. I also had a hysterectomy three years ago and I know I have had problems ever since. I am having surgery in two weeks to remove my remainging ovary which has a cyst on it, and possibly my gallbladder, although my gallbladder tests have been normal. I have recently decided again to try lowering my dose, or hopefully getting off of the Cymbalta, because I am wondering if that could be the problem. Has anyone else been on this drug a long time and had gastrointestinal problems, like nausea, pain, and cramping? I am so afraid of losing body parts that are still functioning fine but I have been so desperate to figure out what is causing my stomach issues. I have had endoscopy and colonoscopy and they are all normal. I am wondering if I should delay the surgery til I can get off this drug.
