I took Ativan for a short time. The zombie thing is very true. I was a walking Zombie. I called it being in the fog.
I wrot a poem about it if anyone wants to read it, let me know (out of the fog). I didn't really have any withdrawals with it. It sure was great to feel again!!!!
Cymbalta is the worst med I ever went off of. I look forward to every day of less zaps, headaches, hot flashes, nausea/nausea/nausea, vertigo and all the other sysmptoms.
Take care of you, Kathy

Thanks Kathy for answering! No one else has. I just looked again after basically giving up! How did you wean off ativan? Ive been on it five years. Do you eveer feel normal again? I sure would appreciate some advice here. Doc is no help! Thanks for sharing. Hugs Donna B
Hi Donna!
My doctor has me on Lorazepam (generic name of Ativan) and Cymbalta. The Cymbalta I guess I'm going to start trying to wean off again as soon as I talk to my doctor again tomorrow, and the Lorazepam I only take sometimes- like if I'm having a panic attack or can't sleep. My doctor suggested that I take it more often, but I don't because I fear getting stuck on yet another drug. I just recently looked up the side effects of Lorazepam and realized that its a highly addictive drug, which makes me even more wary of it.
I wish I had more advice to give, my fixation is mostly on Cymbalta and getting off of that first (without acquiring any more addictions). I do wish you the best of luck!
