After being on Cymbalta 60mg for 3 months for migranes with no relief, I decided to drop it.
Like so many of you, I have gone from 60mg every day > 60 mg every other day > 30 mg every day > and now 30 mg every other day. I too thought I was coming down with the flu. Until tbhe vertigo started...
I am now on day three with extreme vertigo, night sweats, extreme weakness, fever, aches and paines, spaciness, and upset stomach. My doctor thinks I am crazy and won't do anythng but give me more Cymbalta!
From the trenches - what is your advise:
Should I do to 20 mg OR should I cut this now?
If I nip it now, what can I expect to experience? How long will this hell last? I know everyone is differnt, but I would so apprecaite some feedback.

Not a doctor here , but I have weaned myself off of 50 mgs of Cymbalta, over a five month period. No, I would not drop down to nothing. Taking Cymbalta every other day is recommended by alot of doctors, but appears to be the worst thing you can do to increase withdrawl problems. Unfortunaetly, you will have to do some backtracking, and slow down the weaning process if you want to feel some relief. Good Luck.....and keep reading the information on this sight.

I am currently down to 8mg. I have been opening the capsule and weighing my pills as I taper. (scale was $30 from amazon) I taper a tiny amount every day that adds up to about 10% of the 60 mg per week. I take whey protein, fish oils, amino acids, Vitamin D3, magnesium, tart cherry extract and B complex.
Hope you find some useful info from the posts here.
