I have been free for 3 days and I feel dizzy and it doesnt take much to get me to argue. I use Valium for the side effects and it helps some. I do have dreams and not nightmares. They are vivid and from what I can remember, but they dont mean anything yet. But it is just day 3 so I'll try to keep posting. My 14 month old is in charge of my free time nowadays.

Welcome! You have found a great place for support.

May I ask, did you wean off of Cymbalta or did you do cold turkey?

Well, just keep in mind, in is better to wean, and the longer you are off of it entirely, you would really want to think carefully about taking it again to then begin the weaning process. Are you working with your doctor?

Yes, I will take it again if the symptoms become unbearable. My doctor is a quack and every doctor since 1991 was a money sucking quack. I use the valuim she gave me to take for anxiety to keep withdraw at bay. I dont have anything good to say about a doctor that cant CURE anyone or CREATE "diseases" that dont exist, eventhough they state they diagnose, treat and cure mental illnesses. Im done with the "doctors". No wonder alcoholism is at its highest rate so far. And so are profits for these snake oil salesmen.

MrNice,

Please be careful with this withdrawal. If you have been off for 3 days, you have the Cymbalta out of your system. But, that doesn't mean that you will feel better immediately, some people do come off of this and don't have a bad time.

Taking another Cymbalta now that you have it flushed out of your system will start the cycle all over again. Cymbalta has a very short half life of 14 hours with about 36 hours to total elimination from your body. Taking a dose every other day will put you into withdrawal every other day.

Please go through our posts, you are on the way, but if you go back to try to make yourself feel better with one dose of Cymbalta, all that will happen is the withdrawal cycle will start again for you.

Hopefully you are doing this with the help of a medical professional, please be safe and careful. If you truly want to get off of this drug, and have been off for three days, you are on the way.
