I think I recall feeling like that with my breathing, but it was also when my heart was fluttering. Do you feel any other symptoms? Do you think it could be like a panic attack?

I take another medicine that makes my hands and feet tingle all the time, so I can't help you with that part.

I do feel that way, too, feel like I can not get a deep enough breath. My chest or heart does not feel right, either. Today I thought I would go to the ER but I decided to just take a drive.....at 3.59 a gallon....LOL But I went around and took some pictures of old barns and things. When I got out of the car at home, I felt like I had been running, versus driving my car, I was out of breath, my heart felt weird. If it continues, I will go to the ER tomorrow just to make sure that I AM OK!!! I had a few more brain zaps today than usual but it was probably because of the palpatations, fluttering, just feeling like crap.

I definitely had this in the beginning and the achy hands. I think I had every withdrawal symptom that I've ever seen listed. Make sure you are tapering your dose or that you substitue with something else. I'm no doctor but there is a lot of advice on here on how to do this less painlessly. I took the hard road and 12 weeks later am still not right. So take care of yourself. Don't try and be to heroic or strong like I was trying to be it may cost you. Make sure your doctor knows what you are going through. Make sure they understand the seriousness of it. I didn't yell loud enough. I now Know how to yell and get my point acrosss.

I am day 8 of a cold turkey...... Definitly have the same symptom. Not enough air. Especially difficult at night because I also have slight case of sleep apnea. The hands feel wierd, I sweat like a my cousin Angela, (always thought pigs got a bad deal with this expression), Thirsty, Ill tempered, MY EARS SORT OF RING! CONSTANTLY! The Democrats want to stop "water boarding" at Guantanamo... They should get after Eli Lilly! As I look in a different direction I hear or feel a buzzing in my brain. The irony is that this crap was prescribed to deal with a random dizzy sensation I developed after heart surgery... Hmmmmmm, I would take that over this any day. On the commercials, when they run through the list of potential side effects, I don't remember hearing about this... Sorry, I am ranting. another side effect, i think.

That still qualifies as a potential side effect.. unless you continue to take it till you die.

I am on day 10 of quitting cold turkey. I have been having problems breathing. Thought it might be my asthma but it feels different. So, my guess is it is a side effect. Also have the tingling in my fingers like you but it is getting a little better? Anybody, have sore legs because of weaning off? Hang in there.

I can say that forced activity will get your mind off some of it and make it a bit more tolerable... You will still have the buzzing in your ears, tingles in the fingers, shortness of breath and of course the winning disposition and personality! But... you won't be able to focus in it as much if you keep yourself moving. Or find somerthing really quiet and soothing to do. So basically there is some measure of safety at the Polar extremes but not much in the regular day to day... that is my experience 9 days cold turkey... gets worse at night for me and first thing when I wake up... :x

OMG! I'm on day 7 after weaning down from 60 to 30 for 14 days to 20 for 30 days. I thought I'd be a new woman by now. Thank goodness for this web site. I had an anxiety attack on the way to work today and nearly drove to the ER. Instead, I'm at work reading these amazing stories. There is no measure of the comfort I'm am having right now seeing that I am not having a heart attack.. Also, I had read about the brain zaps and couldn't relate until now. What the heck is that??

Not only am I going off the drug, I'm into my 5th month of separation after a 20 year marriage. Why did I decide to quit Cymbalta at such a bad time? My STBX repeatedly accused me of being Pollyanna because I was drugged up and so I thought I could easily get off the drug and see the world more realistically. Never did I imagine I would go through the physical withdrawal I am. I've been on Effexor and Lexapro in the past and weaned off them easy-peasy.

I too, am taking B12 and omega 3's. A Benedryl now and then helps, too, but I don't know why. Also, it really helps to immerse yourself in something you love (for me it's my gardening). And if you can, force yourself to go to the gym. I'm convinced that these are the only thing keeping me sane right now.

Thank you for being here!!
