need support coming off this drug

hi everyone. just to apologize in advance, i may not make as much sense here as i would like to because i am very unwell.
this drug is horrible. i only took it for 1 week and decided to come off it as i had read the forums etc, about the horrible withdrawal effects. i had been on lexapro for the last 3 years, cipramil for the 11 years previous to that.
the last year my dosage of lexapro was 40mg daily. i got to a point recently when i felt it was not working anymore, so the psych put me on cymbalta. i went pretty much cold turkey off the lexapro and did have some withdrawal effects, most noticably i was quite agitated. but that was NOTHING compared to this. i took 30mg cymbalta for 5 days, 60mg 1 day, then 30mg the next, then nothing. that was three days ago. I FEEL LIKE SH*T!!!!! brain zaps (wtf?), headaches, really sensitive to light, shivers, CANNOT sleep properly, dizzy, sore chest (hurts when i breathe), out of breath, muscle weakness, teary, FOGGY, upset stomach, everything is slow, the list could go on.

i am going to speak to my dr today and tell him what they can do with this drug..

hi. i only took cymbalta for ONE week, and i have been through HELL! i stopped cold turkey as i thought that being on it one week would mean the withdrawals would be less than having been on the drug for longer. i have had all of the symptoms everyone describes here, those brain zaps and the dizziness being by far the worst. it has been 6 days since i stopped and i am feeling better. still having the brain zaps and dizziness, and i have noticed i have been very moody. i went to the ER 3 days ago, and they gave me panadeine forte, ibuprofen and diazepam. these drugs helped me. they didnt take it away by no means but definitely helped. i had been unable to sleep properly, and they helped with that.

i too decided to go cold turkey, i didnt want to prolong the withdrawal, thankfully today i can say i made the right decision. i almost caved in a few days ago, but i DID NOT want another drop of that drug in me!!!! try and get some releif from something else, before you put another one of those pills near you!!! i am guessing that the time spent on the medication directly relates to how long it takes for the withdrawal effects to go. thank god i was only on it for a week! i have never been so unwell in all of my life. i will NEVER touch this drug again.

i feel so soory for people who have been on this drug for longer than me. i honestly thought i would never ever fell well again. it was soooo bad! the doctors need to warn people about this drug!!!!
