I am going to state this disclaimer first: I am not a doctor. I am NOT dispensing medical advice. I am ONLY telling you what I did and how it helped me. It may not work for everyone. Having said that, I am going to make this short and sweet. A lot of you are like me and tired of this drug and want something to help that works. Some stats: I was on Cymbalta 60mg for a year. Why? Pain due to a botched surgery and the corrective surgery that was needed. I was resistant to it, but also resistant to narcotics. I thought this was the lesser of two evils (HA!) Went to my doctor to wean off and she did the same thing that every other doctor on here has done of what I can tell. She told me to go to 30mg then to one every other day, one every 2nd day, one every third day, etc and that I would be fine. Was I? No! Did I know what poison this drug is? No! Here's how I did it.

I am a medical professional myself (hence the user name) and went and got myself some ORIGINAL FORMULA DRAMAMINE. (NOT THE NONDROWSY, just hypes you up and makes the dizziness worse.) It's an old anti nausea med. Helps w/ the dizziness and nausea, so taking one at bedtime is good, and it helped me sleep. It may not do that for everybody, just telling you what it did for me.

I started research. My sister is an herbalist. We frequently butt heads so to speak about the legitimate-ness of those types of remedies. I told you that to tell you this: I found www.theroadback.org. It has a link to a company that sells the herbal remedies that they recommend and they have the whole book "The Road Back" on line at the above website. THIS STUFF FOR WORKED FOR ME AND THEN SOME! I could not believe it really, but it did! I have taken their products for three days now and I can tell a HUGE difference. The brain zaps are only once or twice a day and they are VERY lessened in intensity. The dizziness only occurs once or twice a day now, and the headaches and nausea? Gone. I have taken the product they call Body Calm Supreme 20-30 mins before bed? Sleep like a baby. Ok. Well that is all. I will never take this poison again and am writing my state congressman first, then my national ones after that if I get no where w/ the state rep. I want this drug off the market. It is dangerous and one day we are all gonna see the commercial come across the screen "Have you been prescribed Cymbalta and had ............... happen to you? If so call 1800baddrug for an attorney near you." If I was a bettin' person I'd be willing to take money on this one. I do not work for the road back.org I am NOT associated w/ them in any way, because I know some of you are going to think that. I just want to help others. You know why? 'Cause of the way it made me feel! I thought I was going to die and I don't want any one going through this.

This plan is expensive. But when compared to your sanity and your health, how expensive is it really? Something to think about!

Also having said all that I will also state this, I am saved and a born again believer in Jesus Christ, the only son of God. If I did not have my faith and my church saying prayers for me? Cymbalta is a drug I will never again use. I have been on it for many years at the highest dose (120 mg daily) for nerve pain in my face. Coming off of the drug has been a nightmare! 2 yrs ago I tried coming off of it and had a car accident (just involved me by the grace of God). Now I am weaning off again and have been off completely for approximately 1 week and am still having brain and eye vibrations (zaps),vertigo, etc. I also have very vivid, crazy dreams. It's a horrible drug to withdraw off of and I hope something is done or some black box warning is placed on this drug at the very least. It did help me when I needed it but at what cost?
Also, thanks for your strong witness for Jesus Christ! Good to know there's a brother out there. God bless! Maybe this willbe taken care of with our prayers.

Kim, now that I know your name, you can rest assured that you will be in my prayers. Please try theroadback.org. I know it is expensive and really w/ my husband and I moving, Christmas celebration of the birth of our Lord, we could not afford it; but that being said, my wonderful Godly husband said, "Get it. Whatever it takes. You can't live like this." I kept on working and kept on going, crying one minute, mad the next, in despair the next, you know what I mean, and it was HORRIBLE. So the first batch of meds cost me like $213.00 for everything, shipping and handling and let me help you and others not make the same mistake I did. Only get one of the Body Calm products. Don't get the Body Calm Supreme and the regular Body Calm. Either one is great, but you don't need both! Dumb me ordered both of them! But they work. I sleep like a rock with no other intervention needed except my nightly Zyrtec and that is cause I have such horrid sinus problems! (Live in the Southeast, hot, humid most of the year!)

Also thanks for YOUR testimony to being a true believer in Jesus Christ. There are VERY few of us out here and it is getting where we are reviled and hated in this Godless country we seem to be developing; take heart, that just means His coming is imminent, and though we may both go home to be with Him before He comes, because His imminent does not fit our imminent, we will still be HOME.
