    Severe Cymbalta withdrawal concerns.

Posted 11 December 2010 - 07:19 PM

Heya,

I was on Cymbalta for about 6 months before I decided to come off it. Started at 30mg a day, 60mg a month later and for the last 4 months I was on 120mg a day. During the time it was great and helped my life get back on track, as well as helping me cope with my depression and anxiety. However, I couldn't handle the severe sweating side effects of it (during winter I couldn't eat a warm meal without being covered in sweat) so I decided I no longer needed it and came off.

It's been 8 days since I've come off it, the sweating/over-heating feeling has died down to near nothing, however I am still suffering the other common withdrawal symptoms. Those being the lightheaded-ness, headaches, head-spins, nausea, gut-aches and flu-like feelings, however those were expected and are slowly dying down too.

Now those I can deal with, but my main concern is what seems to be a withdrawal symptom which is effecting my sex-drive and incredibly premature ejaculation. A little back-story on it:

-before Cymbalta self masturbation would last ~10 minutes
-during the period I was on Cymbalta masturbation was the same, and masturbation from partner/sex was about the same too, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, but no major differences from before when I wasn't on it.
-while withdrawing on it, self masturbation is ~30 secs, partner ~20secs and sex being even shorter.
-while withdrawing extremely easily aroused and constantly feel at the brim of ejaculation through any form of intimate actions with partner (could just be kissing, cuddling, anything minute).

So I'm led to believe that it could be a withdrawal symptom from it, however I'm not seeing many posts that are experiencing the same issue.

Is anyone else suffering this issue, or is it something else and a sheer coincidence? I would appreciate any insight on this; as well as when to expect other symptoms going.

Regards,
Worried Cymbalta Withdrawer.
