Ok, so I need some advice or help or something. I have fibromyalgia and last Monday I went to my Dr. and we decided to get off of Cymbalta and start Savella...so I went from 60mg Cymbalta daily (for over a year)to 30mg for one week and am now to build up to 50mg of Savella...I am shakey, nauseaous, blurry vision, killer headache and anxious and can not rest at all. Please tell me this will go away in a few days. Today I started having sweats and crying for no reason. I feel like a freak of nature or something. My kids (15 & 19) are helping me around the house and with our outside chores (we have a farm) but I am just mniserable...HELP!
Did you ask your Dr. if you could do a slower cross tapering from one drug to the next? I know that Savella & Cymbalta are very similar in structure so I would have thought that you wouldn't have experienced the withdrawals. Apparently Cymbalta is in a horrid class all of it's own.
I would talk to your Dr. You shouldn't have to feel so cruddy while switching.
