I am so glad to have found this site!!! I have been on Cymbalta for a year and a half. It has actually helped me greatly with situational anxiety and depression. The worst side effects I experienced while on 60mg were severe night sweats intermittenly, very vivid dreams which I found entertaining and I remembered them....and the worst was 2 weeks of having suicidal thoughts...My med. psych Dr. yanked my butt about the latter and they actually left. I will get off of this drug soon but my problem is that I ran out of my meds while out of state and thought a few days will be ok without it....HA...day 3 without and I am having major brain zaps...am confused, slow, dizzy and slightly emotional....scared actually. I did this once before and I thought that once I took my dose that it cleared up imediatly...with in a few hours...this time it's been 7 hours and a low dose of Xanax and it's eased some by not gone!!! Does anyone know how long it taxes for the Cymbalta to take the withdrawls away????[/u]
After reading all of the experiences of coming off....I now know what I will expect and how I will come off this drug....though it has helped me....knowing everyones experiences and methods and comparing my withdrawls after 3 days of cold turkey....I will be very careful coming off and hope to start the process in June!!!

Again....[u]how soon will Cymbalta take my withdrawl symptoms away after taking a dose???

You know, once I had myself off of it, and went back on to start weaning, it seems like it took a few hours, but it was like once the serious withdrawal had started, it never really made me feel stable again. Of course I started weaning right away too. Give a full 24 hours, and another dose, but I would be sure to let your doc know what is happening.

If you didnt already, read my post titled "Cymbalta Symptoms almost gone...How I did it"....it was called something like that. My first post tells how I did it and my last post tells how long it took me to be complelety withdrawal symptom free. I hope this helps!
