I am very sorry to hear your story, Jamie. You have been through quite a few traumatic events. Greybeard has great advice for you and I agree with him. It does not seem as though the Cymbalta is working for you, but we are not doctors here, just every day people giving each other advice in regards to things that may or may not have worked for us. We also use this message board to vent and cry and complain. We dont mind at all, because WE HAVE BEEN THERE.....and for me it was not that long ago. We are here for you.

Hello.
I really wanted to use your name there, but like you, am on Cymbalta, and my short term memory is crap. So sorry about that.

I just want you to know that even though I haven't had anywhere near the trauma that you have, I can really identify with you at this point in my life. I also have 2 kids, and when I read about your notes to help remind you to remember, I just laughed, because I do the same thing! Every member of my family has a spare car key because I lock them in my car so often!
I lost our checkbook at Wal mart, I leave things all over the place! My husband calls me a space cadet. Even on this drug, I have had suicidal thoughts. It makes you feel guilty as a mom to even have those. I am also trying to figure out, with my doctor, if I should stop taking Cymbalta. I know its scarey, reading everyone's stories, and wondering how it will affect you.

So for what its worth, know that there's someone else out there who is just as confused about this as you! If you ever need to talk, email me!

Heidi, if you want to correspond with someone here, I would really do it via the personal messaging system on the board. Posting your Email address on a public board is really not safe. Most people here are safe individuals, but you can't discount the occasional "troll" that comes on here too. You can edit your message if you choose to delete the email by using the boxes above the message. Please be safe!

Babby, Thanks so much for looking out for people like me who are new to this sort of thing. I appreciate your advice.
