Hi. I signed up here after reading the FDA report on the poor information On Cymbalta Discontinuaton Syndrome (CDS) and reading some of the posts here. Currently I am on temporary disability due to my Fibromyalgia and Depression. According to various doctors it was advised that I should change my Cymbalta to another drug. My psychiatrist agreed. I asked about withdrawal symptoms and was told I shouldn't worry BUT he offered to give me a lower dosage to wean but still saying no problems in going cold turkey. The Biggest mistake EVER!

I was given Cymbalta during my September 2010 stay at amental health ward (I attempted suicide due to the Fibro flares and pains dragging me down) and it worked beautifully when the dose was upped to 60mgs. However it appears that my depression was not being treated well and embarrassingly I returned to the ER as my mind dissociated..it took a while but I finally got an appointment with my shrink after seeing my primary care physcian.

A couple of days after not taking cymbalta my head was struck by zaps and a vertigo like dizziness. I had nausea, fatigue, and mood changes at a drop of a hat. I cry for no reason and my poor husband tries so hard to help me.

I am so sorry for the babble but I felt this place was the best to vent. I've read some of your horror stories and cried with you. I am mad as HELL that a drug like is causing so much pain. For me these withdrawal effects are WORSE than my damn fibro. What is worse is that I wanted to tell my boss I wanted to return to work because my husand was recently laid off but this CDS is ruining my return.

I've babbled so much; I am very sorry.
