Now that I'm off Cymbalta completely, is it possible to take just 20 mg of prozac to help with the withdrawal symptoms or do i need to get back on a low does of cymbalta with that.

Anyway, I guess my main question is: "Is it possible to use only Prozac 20 mg for the symptoms or do I need to get back on a low dose of Cymbalta for help"

I really don't wanna hear "I'm not a doctor" etc. I understand that obviously, but it isn't exactly easy to trust another doctor especially after the luck I have had with the drug."

See the above link, it did work for many people, there are even several articles that you could search out on the internet regarding switching to Prozac for help with AD withdrawal.

Works for many. Have to always suggest you work with your doc on anything involving medication. That is a just a responsible thing for anybody to tell you. Because we aren't doctors, and are not qualified to give that sort of advice. We are people from the internet who took this drug and had to suffer the consequences of withdrawal (as known to the medical industry, discontinuation syndrome).

Let us know how you are making out. You can get off of this drug. Hang in there.

Blake,
I started taking a Good Days product "The Postive Mood Formula"......for me it made a big change in the way I handled the 'discontinuation syndrome". I have taken it for a month and ordered two months more, and would like to stop taking it after that. I really have not yet made up my mind, but I would advise against going back on Cymbalta. I have heard the Prozac is great for some, while getting through the withdrawals. My prayers are with you during this time.

Lori
