Ive tried to do the weening off thing when I took Paxil a few years back, but still got extrememly sick. Ive been taking 120mg of Cymbolta for going on 2 years. I decided to go cold turkey to get myself off of this and start medicating myself spiritually, but even as I am praying every single minute of every day pretty much my withdrawl is getting studdily worse.. When will this get better?!?! Im getting married and moving in about 2 weeks and cant even get off the couch to go to work right now.. Someone pls tell me when this will end.. Its been about 5 days now..

Wow, I was on 90mg a day and tried cold turkey. Two days later I decided to wean myself. On week three, down to 30mg a day. Talk to doctor to see can get something to calm it down. I have been taking capsules apart and halfing them. Still getting hit with the zaps but not as bad. Wedding comming up, I would wean off so you don't flip out or faint.

Please go see a doctor and work out a plan. From all I have read it appears at minimum 3 weeks and some say as long as 3 months, it seems to vary by individual.

I agree with Santa Tim.... try to find a MEDICAL doctor who will listen to you (this is harder than it sounds).
Next, find a dose that will allow you to feel "somewhat" normal so you can function and formulate a plan to get off the drug. I can tell you from experience, that slower is better. From what I have learned over the past three years, this seems to lessen the withdrawl effects. Everyone is different.... some will have a harder time than others detoxing. There is no set protocol to Cymbalta detoxification. My wife has now been completely off Cymbalta for almost a year now. She was dosed at 60mg, with a brief jump to 90mg. Her detox process took 6 months, but she is now pretty much back to the land of the living. there is hope!

Take care
