I was prescribed this medication not for depression, but for 3 crushed disc in my lower back. I had the perfect engagement and the people around us envied. In less than a month all that changed.
First was the tingling in my fingertips wish grew into manic aggressiveness, memory loss, and total lack of judgement nor did I care of the consequences to follow.
I am trying to make this as short and sweet as possible so I started having brain zaps and outburst which caused my soulmate to leave the situation. I suffered a self inflicted gunshot to the chest where I flatlined twice and wasn't supposed to make it out of surgery. God said it was not my time.
I weaned off cymbalta with the help of a psychiatrist and the withdrawal was one of the most painful and helpless feelings I've ever been through.
Since this I am better than I was before I got because of the clear head and appreciate that I am able to even be here alive. I still suffer from brain zaps and PTSD from the gunshot, but I'm trying to get better. Eli Lilly needs to be held accountable for such a dangerous drug and the lives it has changed forever just for a dollar.
