Hi Everyone
I've never done a "forum before" this is my first time. But I was hoping for some advice. I've been on anti depressants for over 10 years. All different types. The best one I was on was Cymbalta.
Its always been consistant unlike others where I had major highs and lows.
I've been on cymbalta for a few years now. I am so scared of going off, because I felt with drawl a few times when I forgot to take the pills a few days I was A MESS !!! OMG ! Totally dazed, out of it, groggy, dizzy nautious etc...
it went away just hours after taking a pill when I remembered.
I am so fed up of being on meds. I am also taking pills for my thyroid. Again over 12 years. (which I really don't think they help)
My point here is I WANT OFF ALL MEDS. But so scared.
I need to function, because I run my own business. I can't take sick days since I have to be able to function everyday. My business is struggling in these tough financial times, so I need to be there, and can't afford to have a lot of staff.
So what do I do? I hope someone can help me.
I don't take anything else just thryroid pills (synthroid) and cymbalta. (no vitamins or anything) I do have fish oil pills, vitamin D, Vitamin B, etc.. just HAVE NOT taken anything yet.
Hope to hear from someone soon.
I'm New Here

Stormy...
As far as the synthroid. This is a very important medication if your thyroid is underactive. It has no side effects so I would see your doc to check you blood levels and talk to him before stopping... Google "hypothyroidism"
As far as cymbalta... If you can, wean first... SLOW!!! It's a long/not so easy process.
Good luck
