Side effects of coming off this terrible drug sucks. I really want off but I have 2 work. How do I manage the symtoms an work at the same time? I want my life back. Gainned over 30. Lbs an have no feeling as far as sex with my husband. I want that back. I need help here. Can anyone help? Thanks

I tried to stop taking Cymbalta a few months ago. I ended up calling my shrink the Saturday after Thanksgiving because I thought I was going insane. I was having panic attacks and had to lock myself in a bedroom so that I could stop screaming at my kids. He had to call a prescription in for me to help calm me down. He ended up putting me back on the Cymbalta. I feel bad for my husband because I never want to have sex...and he always does. I'm like a dead body during sex. I've gained about 25 pounds since summer. I don't know what to do.

Hi, I'm also new to this site. Actually, as of today I have decreased from 60mg to 30mg and I have just been crying all day! But, I need to get off these medications. I also take wellbutrin and buspar for anxiety. Just have to fight trough it I guess.

Hi, I'm new here, and I am in the exact same position.
I was on 60mg per day and decided it was time to come off. My doctor put me down to 30mg for two weeks and then cold turkey after that. Needless to say that didn't work. My third day off the drug and I could hardly stand up or move my eyes without feeling awful. It was Monday and I had to take the day off work. Really you need a month off work to get off this thing. But who can really do that? So I went back to the doctor (mine was not available so I saw a different one that day), and I just cried uncontrollably in his office, and he gave me another 2 weeks worth of 30mg. He said that was the smallest does available (contrary to what the pharamcist said to me later), and I should take one every other day. I won't do that after reading this forum - Instead I am going to be opening the capsules and spreading the dose over the next month.
