Thank God I found this site.....I really thought I was going to have to be committed! I have been on Cymbalta for 4 years now and 16 days ago I was diagnosed with narrow angle glaucoma. You are not supposed to d to take cymbalta if you have glaucoma, so my doctor took me off of it. I feel like I have the worst flu in the world, and stuck on the "tilt a wurl" at the carnival!!!!! I have vertigo so bad and am nausiated all the time! In the middle of this I had lazer surgery done on both eyes, one on the 6th and the other eye on friday the 10th of Feb. On the night of the 10th my new puppy bit me in my eye......so off to the ER I went! You can't make this stuff up!!! My eye is fine.....but the side effects of coming off Cymbalta is the worst thing I have been through. When is it going to end! My God, I cry all the time.....I am so nausiated and the vertigo seem like its getting worse. Pepto Bismo helps, pepperment candy helps and thank God for Xanax. Shouldn't I be getting better?

I'm on day one so I can't comment on how long it's going to take, but as for the nausea, try homemade lemonade. I know it sounds crazy, but it's the only thing that seems to be helping me.

Squeeze juice from a lemon (no bottled lemon juice, not the same), add water (about 2 cups per 1/4 cup but taste it) and sweeten it to taste.

Let me know if it works for you.

I haven't tried the lemon aid.....mostly because of bad heartburn and I really don't like it! My doctor put me on Wellbutrine to counter the side effects of coming off the cymbalta. I don't think that is working either and why should I take one drug to get off another? I pray that your fight with these terrible withdrawls will end soon. Today I am not going to take the wellbutrin and see what that does. My emotions are still all over the place! My God, I watched Whitney Houston's funeral yesterday and cried sooooo hard as if she was a family member. I didn't even cry that hard when my Mother died!!! Please know that you are not alone in your battle with cymbalta........I will give you as much info as I can, and pray every day that this will end for us all!!!! Thanks for getting back to me....that really meant alot to me!
