I was on this medication for 30 months at 60mgs a day. I have now been Cymbalta free for 2 months.

It was horrible for a long time. Withdraws were brutal with the zaps, tiredness, aches, headaches and anger. 6 weeks in all of my symptoms were gone except for the rage.

I have seen two doctors and the conclusion is that Cymbalta has permanently changed my brain chemistry and I needed to go back on a different medication to start me on a new path to be rage free.
I started Ability a week ago and feel a lot more stable in my moods, but the rage can still appear when taunted enough. After a month or so we are going to start treating me for the rage specifically.

I will try and keep you all up to date.

With me luck as I wish all of you luck.

Ryan and Judi:

Was only on 20 mgs for 3 weeks + 4 week gradual wean (35 20 mg caps total!) over 2 years ago, but still feel uncharacteristic degrees of hostility, anti-social-ness, as well as physical symptoms of fatigue, back and leg pain, unsteadiness, neuropathies, etc I wonder about the long term or permanent brain and other neurological changes.

Knowing that there has been a class action complaint filed against Eli Lilly/Cymbalta (Oct. 2012) that may help you cope with some of the rage, or perhaps channel it more usefully? Just a thought...:  go to krcomplexlit.com.

Please let me know how things are working out.

Best wishes,

Stephanie
