Okay, so I'm down to 30mgs (I was originally on 90mgs and it's taken me about a month to get down this far.)

The drop from 90mgs-60mgs was pretty bad - but I think part of that was due to the fact that I wasn't really expecting it to be as bad as it was. The drop from 60 to 30mgs, was actually okay. I thought it was okay because for a week, I alternated 60 and 30, before going straight down to 30. I am now alternating between 30 and zero. And it is hell. I have never felt so sick in my life. Constant brain zaps, exhaustion, headaches and nausea. I've basically been in bed the past three days. I was hoping to get it over and done with before uni went back, but this week is the first week back at uni.

When I was having really bad symptoms coming from 90 to 60, my psychiatrist did say that he could put me on fluoxetine to help with the withdrawals - but I wasn't too sure about that because then I need to come off that drug too. :( But I'm starting to consider it because it will hopefully make things easier especially now that uni has gone back and I have more commitments. The other thing is last time I rung him when I was having symptoms the next day I started feeling better, so I'm afraid that would have happened again and it was all a waste of time/money. :( But man this pain is terrible. :( I'm also extremely grumpy - I don't know if that's depressive symptoms coming through or if it's due to feeling so sick or a combination or what... But people are really annoying me currently lol. Oh and another thing - noise, I HATE noise. I can't stand any noise at the moment. It drives me nuts. I'm assuming that could be due to the headache?

Anyway, should I ring my doctor and go on fluoxetine? Did it help you? Or should I ride it out. I unfortunately need to make a decision pretty quickly because my pdoc is going away next week (he did say there would be another doctor covering for him, but obviously I feel most comfortable with him).

Oh. the other thing is that my pdoc told me to take ibuprofen + codeine to help with the symptoms... So I've been taking that a lot lately. But I really hate taking painkillers especially for an extended period of time (and they don't even seem to be helping all that much anymore). I also know that when I took codeine when I got my wisdom teeth out, I got REALLY constipated after a few days, and I really don't want that to happen again. :( But it's basically the only way I can function somewhat normally at the moment.
