Hello all, thank you so much for the advice through the different forums. Been on SSRI's since I was 12, put on Cymbalta after a severe post partum anxiety episode 4 years ago (became agoraphobic and could not be left alone)- 60 mg and for the first while I thought the brain fog was from having 2 kids, lack of sleep, hormones, etc... now i'm thinking it is from the cymbalta. Down to 30 mg for 3 weeks was relatively fine, except for increased emotional outbursts and anger, some increase in anxiety and yesterday a drop from 30 to zero was way too much with the nausea, brain zapping and "drunk but hungover" feeling. Talked to the pharmacist and she suggested splitting the capsules as suggested- awesome idea someone suggested to measure them out and decrease slowly each week the number of beads- i was just going to split them in half and then to zero. Aside from that I am taking Magnesium, B vitamin complex, krill oil, probiotics and eating a gluten, dairy and processed free diet. I recently read about the Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) diet and I am intrigued to perhaps further explore it in the hopes to never have to go back on drugs. I am also seeing a psychologist who does brain biofeedback mapping and training. Put on them so young I know I have a significant battle ahead of me. I will update as I go!
