Good morning. I'm so glad I've found this site!! Hopefully, someone can shed some light on my issues! I had taken Cymbalta for about 4 months then decided to get off of it. I weened myself down from the 60mg to the 30mg....then finally just stopped. I haven't taken any in about a week. When do the "jitters" stop??? I was put on Cymbalta for some "family stress issues" and was told by my family doctor it would be short term. Well, he failed to tell me how hard it would be to get off the stuff!! I'm having trouble sleeping and heart seems to can't get rid of the "jitters"!! Help!!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! How long does it take to get this out of your system completely????

I also needed temperary relief of my stress through the holidays. I was on for about 4 months also, I had no idea and my dr never told me how horrible it was going to be coming off this drug. I did take Zoloft in the past but coming off was not so intence. I actually had my dr take my blood pressure today because I thought I was having a stroke. I didnt realize at first that i was withdrawling from cymbalta because I felt fine for two days after I had stopped. My symptoms are so bad, my husband had to carry me to bed, I was sweating from head to toe and shaking, I have joint pain, im hearing the blood rushing in my ears, my mouth goes numb if I talk to fast, Im slering my words, I have almost a constnat head rush, a urphoric feeling like after you had jogged for a mile, I feel stoned, my eyes are lazy and tired, I get a shock like an adrenaline rush, l ike im on a ride that makes you dizzy, i have mini fainting spells, i cant turn or look at something fast without feeling like my body needs to catch up also i have food bindges and cravings. I really wish I went on this sight sooner becaseu I was so scared this was going to last forever. my dr told me it should last 10 days, i wish he would have told me sooner. I hope this helps.

BLUE, that is how I feel. When I go to turn my head, it feels as though my eyes take prolonged seconds to catch up with me and then I get tipsy. One thing is, today I thought I was having a heart attack. The pains that I am feeling throughout my body are very odd. Benadryl is my best friend right now. I am researching all herbs so that I can try this naturally. Sometimes I feel as though I have to do things (i.e. wash dishes, shower, brush my teeth, anything standing) with one eye closed to focus. I am starting to get a slight ringing in my ears but when I lay down (where I feel most comfortable but it's not realistic) my ears feel like they are plugged. Just remember NO fast moving; don't run and don't expect it to be over and done with in a matter of days. I wouldn't taper down in my medication; I just got it all done in ONE day and decided to end the madness that was supposed to bring peace!

I have been taking anti depressants for about 8 years. Cymbalta is the most recent kind I have been taking. My Dr. had me taking the 60 mg which was too strong and dropped me to 30 mg. . I have been so frustrated with the side effects of Cymbalta that I decided to stop taking it. It has been 6 days and I don't know if it was worse dealing with the side effects or worse having withdrawl symptoms. I cannot focus my eyes. They keep flickering. I have cold chills, I am dazed and confused, I cannot concentrate. I just want to feel like myself again. I would greatly appreciate any good advice. Will this ever end? When?
