Well....today just for kicks I called Eli Lily to see if they had any information about how to get off cymbalta. What a joke. They could not tell me anything. Only that you need to do it with monitoring from your doctor. While on the phone they wanted to know all the information I could give them about why I wanted off the drug and any side effects I had ( I gave them plenty) and what side effects I was having going from 60 mg to 30 mg. ( I gave them plenty of those too!) I am doing this by adding Prozac and I know this is not popular on here, but I know Prozac is much easier to get off of than cymbalta and I am a wimp...lol The only thing she could tell me was to go off it gradually with the advice of your physician. And that the side effects "were self limiting" I asked how I could go off gradually when it only came in 3 strength. She just kept saying I needed to get the advice of my physician. She did say that if you had side effects to go back up to the dose where you did not have side effects.....ok so that basically means that we will be on Cymbalta for the rest of our lives!! Eli Lily needs to be accountable for getting us all hooked on this drug! I will get off this drug! If it kills me...and it just might! Has any one else ever called them?
