Hi people,
I have never done anything like this (posted in a forum) before. I was actually totally suprised to see that something like this exists, I thought I was going bat-s**t crazy and that nobody knew wth I was taliking about. Suprise, suprise, I am not alone!! I can not even tell you how relieved I am to have found this page but wish I would've before I started taking Cymbalta.

I switched from 60mg of Fluoxetine to 60mg of Cymbalta about 9 months ago. I never experienced any strange side effects from the Fluoxetine and I didn't even stop to think that some of the things I have been experiencing may have been side effects of Cymbalta. I have gained 20 pounds (I have always been a really thin person), I sweat excessively, hot and cold flashed, I am tired all the time, I still suffer from panic attacks. I stopped the Fluoxetine because I felt that it stopped "working". I have chronic back and neck pain so my pdoc thought Cymbalta would work well.

I ran out of Cymbalta 3 days ago and have been going through hell. The vertigo is absolutely awful!!!! I feel like I am going nuts! I am broke and can't fill my prescription for a few days but after reading all the stuff on here, I am not even sure I want to!! I don't really know what step to take next. The things on here about Cymbalta withdrawal is unsettling to say the least but I wonder if something else would work better? I know I need some sort of anti-depressant as I have tried to go without several times because I "feel better" and then comepletely fall apart. HELP!
