Well, I'm back... to try again..... Missed a dose by 3 hours and started to feel sick again...

So I said something to my psychiatrist and she agrees and suggested to wean off with prozac...

So this is the plan:

Prozac 20 mg WITH the cymbalta 60 mg that I take for 1 week
then go up to 40 mg prozac with the cymbalta 60 mg for 1-2 weeks
then stay with 40 mg prozac and go to 30 mg cymbalta ..... and stay like this for awhile....

Will be seeing her again in 6 weeks to see where to go from there...

It's IMPOSSIBLE to do on your own...

Last few times were HE#@*( ... If it takes a year, I'm fine with it as long as I'm rid of this HORRID drug.

Wish me luck.... Pray for me.....
PLEASE!!!

Becky

I c/t'd from 60mg in 2009. Went back on and started tapering. Spent the next 4 years trying to get off. It was very difficult. Finally stopped at 17 beads on Dec.4, 2013.

Hi, I agree with you. I weaned down to 36mg and found it impossible to go any further.

I did a crossover to Celexa, with a schedule somewhat similar to yours. It has been 12 weeks

now. I am having withdrawals, but so far have been manageable. Maybe you will be one of

the lucky ones who has a very smooth crossover. I really feel that was the only way I was going

to get off Cymbalta. I plan to get off Celexa also, when it all settles down. Even though I've

still got a ways to go to be med free, I'm very happy to be off Cymbalta. Wish you the best of

luck!
