Wow! I've been on Cymbalta now for 4 years for fibro. My insurance had changed and it only covers generic now so
needless to say I can't afford the 200.00 per month for a 30 day supply. So my doctor has put me on a low dose of
Prozac and I am decreasing the dose of Cymbalta over a 3 week period. I feel like warmed over crap. Sweating, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and overall sick. She has me taking the Cymbalta 60 mg every 2 days. I can hardly stand it.
Then to 30 next week and every other day from there. I think it might be two quick. Is there anything out there that can help with the side efffects? WoW!!!!!

Katz, have you read any of the other suggestions on here on doing a slow wean, by counting out beads? My dr recommended the same as yours, and I was on it for close to 5 years, for fibro, same as you. I have been slowly weaing (after reading how to on here), for the past 4 months. When I talked to my dr about it, she thought that the way I was doing it was better than her own suggestion. Go figure! I'm almost done. It's still been rough, but not as rough as what it seems as if you do it the way our drs would recommend.
Good luck, it's a rough road. But you will make it! Hang in there.
