Hey all,

I'm currently weaning off 60mg of Cymbalta after taking it since 2008. I knew it was going to be like this. I get the shocks, light sensitivity, pressure in my head, nausea, and exhaustion if I miss a dose, and I also get shocks the week before my period, no matter if I'm on schedule with my meds or not.

I had a doctor that prescribed me gabapentin when I was coming off paxil 4 years ago, because I got shocks then, too. It doesn't seem to make them go away, but it stabilizes my mood when I'm getting them and it makes me a little more numb when they are happening.

The shocks have started since I've moved down to about 20mg, so I'm popping the gabapentin and adding fish oil. Fish oil hasn't really helped me in the past, but I feel like it couldn't hurt, right?

I'm just on this journey until next week when they want to start me on Effexor (which I've heard coming off that is a nightmare as well). It's pretty much the last drug I haven't tried for my depression, so it is my last ditch effort until I say ENOUGH with it all and come off all drugs, in learning to deal with depression being my natural state.

GOOD LUCK to you, good luck to me.
