HI all decided to post after reading all these coments.
Started looking into this drug after my wife decided to come of.
my wife had a shoulder replaced recently. they found secondary breast cancer cells in bone during surgery. after succesfull op and radio therapy given all clear.
She was given hormone replacement drugs to stop recurance of cancer.All this did was to overload her system with chemicals.Hence the decision.
She was taking 30mg cymbalta,400 iboprufen,8 30/500 soladol.
Each has there own nasty side effects on and comming off.
Iam so very proud of my wife for sticking to her gunsand comming of all this s...
all withdrawal effects are nasty.
sore from head to toe.
dihorriea.
bloating
dizzie.
brain zaps. tinnitis,
forgetfullness.
insomnia.
twitches.
some days unable to walk very well due to pain.
just seems to be non stop.
how long will this last.
most of the side effects have been here at some point.
Am just trying to be positive for my wife.
People need to realise how bad this is. i am on the out side looking in and i am going through the ringer with her.
This drug may have a place but not on this planet.
never sure what to expect when she gets up.
just have to deal with it.
any helpfull hints or tips on how to deal with withdrawal please.

Is she weaning off or stopping cold turkey? I was told by my doctor (not the Dr. who prescribed it)that stopping Cymbalta suddenly was very dangerous and you should always be weaned off slowly. I weaned off and it took me about 3 months. Yes, it is hell...for patient and the patients spouse/family.
If she quit cold turkey I would suggest she talks to her doctor about it (if the doctor is unaware). Weaning may be the lesser of two evils. Good luck to the both of you. I really can feel for you.

Doctors are pretty much useless.
the overload on her system ment side effects of all drugs she was on where unbareable.
i checked on here for effects on and comming of off all drugs. in did not make good reading.
i am keeping fingers crossed that they start to tapper off soon.
