I can't get over that this website even exist. I never realized a lot of people had side effects and withdrawal symptoms from this drug that are not listed in the warnings. I felt like I was the only one out there!! I have found a few other chatroom sites with Cymbalta as a subtopic and haven't really seen anyone with my symptoms. Hopefully someone here might make sense of them.

I have had four neuroma surgery on my feet. I have been told that neuromas is scar tissued that is formed due to nerve inflammation. The scar tissue grows between your third and fourth toe. My feet burn when walking, standing in one place, and driving a car. I had surgery on both feet to remove the neuromas and then the neuromas came back. My podiatrist removed a neuroma in each foot again. Then about six months ago, I felt pain in my left foot again. I would say that surgery had help the pain in my right foot about 60percent, which for me is very good. Afraid of having this doctor operate on me for the third time on this foot, I changed doctors.

My new doctor tells me that maybe it isn't even neuromas but nerve pain. So he sends me to a neurologist. The neurologist does all the test on me and they all come back normal. I will admit that my desk in work is not eronomical correct and I wear wrist brace to prevent burning and sharp pain in my wrists. But I had never felt this kind of pain in my feet. The wrist braces usually help. So as I said before the neurologist tells me that the test come back normal which means i have no nerve damage. But he said the tests don't really rule out that I may have nerve iritation and burning in my feet sounds like nerve problems. So he decided to experiment with me. He puts me on Cymbalta. He wanted to start me out at 20mg and then raise it to 40mg after two weeks, and then eventually 60mg. But my insurance company refused to pay for three pills a day. So we were forced to start at 30mgs. I start on a Friday evening. Monday i'm feeling a little more burning than normal in my feet. Tuesday some more. By Wednesday morning my ankle is a little swollen and I have a lot of burning. I tell my doctor who tells me to stop it cold turkey. I hadn't been on it for even a week yet. It won't hurt me he says.

It doesn't take long. I start feeling sharp pain in my feet, this pin pinching feeling and even this strange feeling like someone is lightly touching my skin. I don't know if that is considered tingling or not. I'm also getting burning but I"m finding it is different than my original burning. Originally when I took my shoes off and sat down, my feet would stop burning. Now I can be sitting down without shoes and it still burns. My right foot hadn't hurt in over six months but now it is burning and having all these symtoms also. I have looked up online and find out that thanks to this drug, I now do have nerve symptoms. Most of these symptoms on line come up as saying nerve related. Keep in mind before seeing this neurologist, I never had any of these symptoms. I take it and now I have them. My doctor tells me he has no idea why I would get these symptoms but lets try another drug. After having all new symptoms created thanks to this drug, there was no way I was going to take another one. At least not with this doctor. I could see it now. My luck I take another drug and it makes my feet even worse. My doctor will be like, oh well!

I also wanted to mention that the pin pinching and touching feeling has gone to my legs and my arms also. I was check out at the ER and no it is no heartattack or stroke coming one. They were afraid that was tingling.

it has been about three weeks since I stopped the drug. I started to take advil around the clock about a week ago, hoping it will help with inflammation, thinkg that maybe my nerves are inflammed. I had seem some difference but today I wake up with all the symtoms full blown. I thought they were going away. How long do symptoms take to go away? I can't even walk five minutes without pain now instead of the hour like before the drug. I can't use the exercise bike anymore before causing pain. This is freaking me out. I wonder if it will ever go away. Will I have to take drugs to make it go away? More like this stupid drug. I hope not!!

Look at the thread "Pain in Legs." Others of us have had weird nerve sensations, pains, etc. Sorry you are having this problem. For a doctor to start you on such a high dose is odd. But, I've found from talking to my family doc, my endocrinologist, and my psychiatrist that none of them are aware of what they are prescribing. All of us with negative experiences need to call our doctors, fax them, write them letters, whatever it takes to make them aware of what we are experiencing. Reference this web-site.

Good luck!

Thanks Holly, I'll try that thread.

My doctor was a joke. I told him the symptoms and he didn't even try to analize it. He just said he don't know and then wanted to throw me on another drug.

Anybody else have these symptoms or at least how long did your symptoms take to go away?

Wow. I'm so glad you posted! I've thought that the phantom feelings on my skin were due to neurostuff from my diabetes. I've had this feeling akin to spider webs being pulled across my skin for several years. Not great when you're an absolute card-carrying arachniphobe! I'm 7 days off 60mg dose, taking it since 2000 and am so disheartened with this withdrawal. Nausea, dizziness, brain zaps, technicolor nightmares, insomnia, anger, sadness.. feel like I'm being disassembled and redesigned.

Good luck!

Weeze, I'm glad you posted! I'm finding not many people have this symptom. But I know it has to do with this drug because I never got it before this drug. Either that or this drug has hurt my nerves. Please let me know if your symptoms end up going away. I have had these symptoms for over three weeks now and it scares me if it will ever go away. Good luck!

Fourth wife is our body. No matter
WOW Power Levelinghow much alive at the time and effort spent to repair,
once passed away, the body also left us.
The third is the wife of wealth, power and status. What we die, these things will
reach the hands of others.
Second wife is our family and friends. No matter how much
they are willing to give us help,
we can only take us up to come to the door of the tomb.
Our soul is the first wife. Living life, people are constantly chasing wealth,
rights and Huanyu, but ignored the soul. But only the soul of our company will come
to the ends of the earth.
