Hi - new to the forum.

I've been taking 90mg of Cymbalta for about 8 months to treat anxiety. Prior to that I had been taking Prozac - but had to come off it because I started having major problems after about 3 months (started drinking like a fish).

Anyway, I've decided to come off cymbalta. I went from 90mg down to 60mg for a week & then down to 30mg for a week. Today is my second day not taking anything.

I've read posts from others who claim that Prozac helps the withdrawal symptoms. I have several 20mg Prozac left - but I'm confused. Should I only take one prozac to help with the withdrawal, or should I take them until I run out. I know Prozac has a fairly long half-life, so that's why I'm not sure if I should just take one.

Hope this makes sense. I feel like I'm typing in a daze. :?
