I have sharp pain in my feet, pin pinching, burning in my feet that don't go away when I take my shoes off, and a feeling sensation like someone is touching me. Some of these symptoms I have seen online as nerve iritation or nerve damage. I keep seeing peopel say that they have zap pain and difference stuff like that. Does anyone actually know what those symptoms are? Do you think that is the nerves in your head? I ask because people say it goes away. I'm wondering if my symptoms will go away on its own. This new burning in my feet has gotten so bad I can barely walk. I have had symptoms for three weeks now and only took Cymbalta for a week before more excess burning occured and coming off of it. Then the new symptoms started. I do have some underlining problem with my feet that causes it to burn once you take off your shoes but the doctors haven't figured out what is wrong with me yet. They are telling me it is not neuromas this time. This burning and all the other symptoms are new.

In the past four years, I have gone through four neuroma foot surgeries in the past and my foot doctor sends me to a neurologist, who gives me this medicine. Now I have all new set of symptoms. I'm so sick of this all!

Hello Greybeard, what you wrote has helped some and some of it does relate to me. For one thing the pain does come in waves. After going off the drug it was the worse for about a week. Then it calmed down some for about a week and a half or so. Now since yesterday it came back full blown. The pinching feeling, the feeling someone is touching me, the sharp pains in my feet. Some burning but not as bad as the week I ended it. I was given Cymbalta because the neurologist thought that the pain in my feet may be nerve related even though all of the nerve damage tests I took came back normal. His playing giney pig with me by giving me Cymbalta, which brought on all of these new symptoms. Even the burning in the feet is sort of different. As I said before it burns with my shoes off now, not just on.

I see my orthopedic specialist for my feet early september to figure out what my original problem was. I had seen him a few months ago, and then he sent me to the neurologist to rule that out. Well now I have a whole new set of symptoms and I'm going back to him. I hope these symptoms calm down by then but with my luck, who knows.

Thanks!
