I have been completely off this drug for 3 weeks and I thought I was doing better as the physical pains and such had gotten better. However, I am in HELL with the mental issues lately. I am feeling so overwhelmed and irratable I cant stand myself. I am yelling at my husband and daughter for little issues and I have even been called into the Principal's office for her to tell me that my attitude (body language and tone of voice) is not appropriate. I am a special ed teacher who is having a tough year with several challenging students to start with. I don't know what to do, I am taking Welbutrin for my depression issues but I feel like I am losing my mind. Do I go back to the Dr who tried to take me off cybalta cold turkey, he claimed he did not know that there were negitive side effects or withdraw issues or try to tough it out. I don't want to lose my job or my marriage. Does anyone have any idea how long this might last? I never felt this bad before taking this medication even when I was not using any medication. PLEASE if anyone has any input that could help I would really appricate it. Thanks for any help you can give

    Cymbalta withdrawals

It blows my mind to hear a doctor had no clue there would be any issues going off the cymbalta. Pisses me off these doctors even suggesting go cold turkey. Sorry for my language but it's ridiculous. I suggest you go back to him and REALLY I hate to even say this since you are off it but maybe go back on the bare min dosage for a few weeks or a month then slowly taper. I hate to hear of you going through all of this and possibly losing your job over it. Just a suggestion too maybe add in some ALA supplement to help balance things out a little more. Let us know how you are doing.
