I don't know what you consider long term, but I was on it for about 1.5 yrs. I started at 60 mg, then after about a year, she upped it to 90 mgs. I was only on 90 mgs a couple of months because that is when I started having really bad side effects. I quit "cold turkey", but then started Prozac on Day 4. Although the Prozac seemed to help with the symptoms, I still had symptoms for at least a month.

Hi Mamafishy (love the name)

Cymbalta is out of your system after 5/6 days. What takes time, however, is for your brain to return to its pre-medication way of functioning. Unfortunately, since everyone is different, it is hard to say how long your symptoms will last. I wish I had better news for you.

Cheers
Junior
